lt p gt Gino amp rsquo s eyeball werd gevormd in maart 1999 door drie dronken studenten die elkaar ontmoetten op school Tom guitar-vocals Geoff Bass-vocals en David Drums-vocals lt br gt lt br gt Na een paar repetities op zaterdagnamiddag besloten ze poppy punkrock te spelen be amp iuml nvloed door Green Day Blink 182 Diesel Boy MxPx en The Vandals lt br gt lt br gt De naam Gino amp rsquo s Eyeball werd eigenlijk enkel maar gekozen omdat de groep er zeker van is dat niemand zoiets zou overnemen En tenslotte het is maar een groepsnaam lt br gt lt br gt Hun eerste demo amp ldquo Headin amp rsquo South amp rdquo werd gereleased in 2001 Het kreeg goede reactie en tal van optredens in en rond het punkrock milieu met bands als Praga Khan Noordkaap Lawrence Arms amp hellip lt br gt In april 2003 nam de groep ook nog een split-CD op met No Strings Attached lt br gt lt br gt November 2003 David besluit om te stoppen met Gino amp rsquo s Eyeball om zich volledig te focussen op zijn studies en zijn vriendin De nieuwe drummer Jake was maar een telefoontje van hen verwijderd en zo een week later had de groep al een nieuwe drummer lt br gt lt br gt 2004 startte zeer druk de groep had ongeveer elke week een optreden tot juni In Juli 2004 bracht de band hun tweede splitalbum uit met 16 Hour Drive een band van San Diego Californi amp euml in de VS Dit splitalbum werd gepromoot door een Europees DIY tourtje doorheen Nederland Belgi amp euml en Oostenrijk lt br gt lt br gt In 2009 speelde Gino s Eyeball als enige Belgische band op zaterdag op Groezrock 2009 Hun strakke poppunk en van het moment is moeten we u allang niet meer vertellen Het gros van de internetgebruiker beschikt over een persoonlijk adres zowel jong als oud Dagelijks staan miljoenen mensen via dit netwerk met elkaar in contact informatie wordt gepost mededelingen worden doorgegeven en uitnodigingen worden verzend lt div gt lt div gt amp nbsp lt div gt lt div gt Heel bewust kozen wij dan ook voor dit medium lt br gt De hiphop-liefhebbers kunnen zich alvast verlekkeren aan de Deense grime-queen lt strong gt Lucy Love lt strong gt Deze Kopenhaagse dame was reeds te gast op Modfest en in de Ancienne Belgique waar ze het publiek gretig uit haar hand liet eten Maar we serveren u ook lekkers van eigen bodem zijnde het Leuvense zooitje ongeregeld van Undefined Zeer gevarieerde nu-urban waarmee ze een strong gt Destine lt strong gt schenken u maar al te graag het glas vol zoals ze dat ook deden op het Lowlands-festival ter vervanging van Fall Out Boy maar het glas heffen doen we zeker voor de komst van lt strong gt Customs lt strong gt De hemel ingeprezen voor hun debuutalbum amp ldquo Enter The Characters amp rdquo met pareltjes als amp ldquo Rex amp rdquo en amp ldquo Justine amp rdquo lt br gt lt br gt Lees gerust alles even opnieuw indien u door verbazing of wild enthousiasme nog niet tot het volle besef bent gekomen maar onthou vooral dat er nog een vracht prachtnamen zullen volgen en
